Gas BoilerYour gas boiler is an essential part of your home. You rely on it everyday to provide you heating and hot water.  Therefore, an annual service is important to keep your boiler in good working condition and eliminate the level of wear and tear.

When your boiler breaks down, a natural reaction is to panic.  We all know that gas engineers can be expensive to call out in an emergency, not to mention they are often hard to book during extreme colder season when boilers have a habit of breaking down. The reason for this is quite simple, boilers tend to develop faults over summer, when reduced use can cause the internal components to seize up. During the colder season, they are placed under a lot of pressure when they are suddenly called into action again. If you do need to call a gas engineer, make sure they are Gas Safe Registered, as this means they will have the skills and knowledge to fix your boiler correctly. Gas Safe Register is the official list of businesses that are legally permitted to carry out gas work. At TwoLet we only work with Gas Safe Registered Engineers.

Our boiler servicing pricing is competitive and we do not cut corners when come to giving our customers the service they deserve. You should make sure that your boiler is serviced every year. Don’t wait until you have a problem. There are several things to look out for when you think your boiler isn’t functioning properly and a gas engineer is needed.

  1. If the heating or hot water won’t come on
  2. Low or high boiler pressure
  3.  Ticking or clanking noises
  4.  Boiler flame colour. It should be a healthy blue. If it is yellow or orange then the boiler may not be getting enough gas, or conversely if it is getting too much gas, then this could be a more serious situation.
  5. Check your bills to see gas usage. If you think it is too high or if it’s higher than usual, then you may have a problem with your boiler.
